There is no introduction needed for the Herbag Zip Bag as it’s already featured at BRAGMYBAG multiple times. And we do love to write about it because it resemble to the iconic Kelly Bag. This bag is so famous that some Hermes boutiques start to use the ugly waiting list. So you want the Hermes Herbag Zip Bag? Let me put you on the waiting list.

When we meet a new color, we’re sure to let you know. So allow us to introduce to you the Hermes Herbag Zip Bag in black leather and Orange Toile. Just for the information, Toile is fabric in French and it means Canvas. One of the reasons this bag is less expensive than the Kelly Bag is because of the Canvas material and it’s a part of the design.

A practical accessory, created in lady-like trapezoid shape and it’s chic but easy to use handbag. Put your other everyday bag on hold and crown this beautiful piece. And by the way, the Herbag Zip Bag is so popular that it holds value. It even increases in value overtime due to its short supply and high demand. The bag is crafted with a chic luggage tag and extra long leather strap for shoulder carry.

The interior comes with an internal pouch and it measures 25.5 x 31 x 10 (H x W x D) cm, priced at ¥313200 JPY via Hermes boutiques.

As you might have known, we’ve already introduced the 1st version of the Convoyeur Mini Bag. If you’ve forgotten, that’s okay. Here’s a link in case you want to refresh your mind: Hermes Convoyeur Mini Bag.

Today we want to let you know more about the Hermes Convoyeur Mini II Bag, which is a slightly different version.

So what’s new? The center-clasp seems to be smaller, but the bag is made larger, especially in width. Consequently, the interior is large as well, which features two large compartments and a zip pocket.

The 1st version of the Convoyeur Bag does come with two extra pockets in the first compartment of the interior. So now you need to decide between an extra pocket or a larger size.

The shoulder strap can be removed, so the bag can be changed into a clutch bag or a pouch. Or you can sling it cross body or just carry it on your shoulder like a pochette.

We know Hermes is all about the leather and craftsmanship. This bag is made from the famous Swift Calfskin leather and then refined with silver hardware. The size is measured 15 x 18.5 (H x L) cm and priced at €3550 euro, £3090 GBP via Hermes boutiques.

The Hermes Soie Cool Bag

Hermes Soie Cool Detail

Today I wanted to share with you a review on one of my favorite new bags for summer – the Hermes Soie Cool. This is one of those items that was always a bit on my radar, but which I had never really given much thought about. That is, until I found myself sandwiched between two packs of very eager groups of shoppers during one of my last visits to my favorite Hermes boutique while in Paris. Usually I can stand crowds quite well and have a decent tolerance to being jostled (I have extensive experience waiting in line at many an Asian restaurant) but I found myself really tired and ended up retreating into a comfortable corner to cower and wait for our favorite salesperson. Actually, I didn’t know it at the time – but I was already pregnant! So maybe that is why I was so tired.

Anyway, I was sitting down and staring aimlessly into the abyss, when my eyes happened to settle onto this bag in one of the display cases. And really…as soon as I saw it – I fell in love! If any of you have read The Godfather, I was basically struck by the thunderbolt. I just kept staring and staring at the bag…and when my salesperson came, I said I had to see it immediately.

Hermes Soie Cool

I think this bag is just so cool. The braided straps, the easy bucket shape, the way you can wear it on your shoulder or as a backpack, everything. Plus, I really just fell in love with this particular combination – both the barenia leather (other versions may have clemence or fjord), and the print and color of the scarf. I have always admired the “Brazil” print that Hermes does, and this was my first item with the design.

The silk used in the bag also appears to the be thicker version used in the “Silk In” wallets and the like. Our salesperson recommend it over another bag which I’ve always admired – the Silky City – because she said it would be stiffer and keep some shape.

See how easy this bag is to wear? I really think it’s the perfect summer bag.

Hermes Soie Cool Modeled

And of course, the Soie Coie fits quite a bit due to its simple shape. You can see the tiniest peek of its orange lining here – I need to get a better photo of that. And, it’s crazy light (especially for those of us used to heavy leather bags), because of its silk fabric and minimal hardware.

Hermes Soie Cool What FIts Inside

All in all – the perfect summer bag. I love it, and think that this is a highly underrated bag from one of my favorite brands.

Hermes Soie Cool Brazil

My Soie Cool is in the “Medium” size, though the small is REALLY tiny, just so you know. It’s available at Hermes and priced between $2200 for the regular clemence version, and a little more – $2425 – for the Barenia. I love both leathers, but I have to say that the Barenia is luscious!

If you have any more questions or comments about the Soie Cool – feel free to leave a comment. Thanks for reading!

For Love & Lemons Holiday 2015 Lookbook: Golden Hour Getaway

“Golden Hour Getaway” perfectly sums up the For Love & Lemons holiday 2015 lookbook, so the brand couldn’t have chosen a better title. The hauntingly lovely Siberian model Vika Falileeva sported the newest looks, perfectly embodying the target ‘70s vibe the brand wished to portray.

For Love & Lemons Holiday 2015 Lookbook

For Love & Lemons really dug deep into the ‘70s for their new looks, and didn’t stop with the garments, but ran full-on with the styling as well. Some of the garments are a breath of fresh air, with their nod to the culture and fashion, while the hair and accessorizing seems to be pulled straight from the fashion era and stuck on a modern woman. This transition didn’t quite work, and seemed to lack the bridge that would have connected Seventies and modern day fashion trends.

There are some great things being one with the dresses, however. The brand stayed true to their holiday getaway theme, as many of their garments are perfect for a cozy get-together or holiday party. And, of course, the lovely Vika breathed life into the dresses. This addition of her unique on-camera personality added a new dimension to the lookbook.

The For Love & Lemons holiday 2015 dresses are distinctly feminine, as can be expected with the Seventies inspiration, making for an interesting holiday collection. When you think of free-flowing dresses, you’re often inclined to think of the warm, breezy months, but For Love & Lemons has reinvented that idea and gone outside the box to create these light and airy garments for the cold months.

For Love & Lemons Holiday 2015 Lookbook

The vast use of prints and colors is the most striking aspect about this simple lookbook. The fabrics even appeared luxe at times, with the perfectly heavy appearance and crisp prints. The white lace dress is one of the most appealing pieces featured, because it portrays the youth and spirit the collection is trying to achieve. But that could just as easily be said about the other dresses in the collection. There is no real misstep with the dresses, and for that we can appreciate the work put into the portrayal. That, along with the casting of Vika Falileeva, was the ultimate saving grace of this lookbook as a whole.

The footwear shown in the photoshoot is hit or miss in this case. The boots were spot on for the time of the year, but the incorporation of socks and sandals erred on the side of cliché. This is a look that doesn’t have much ground in the fashion industry, as it’s a look that can’t be taken too seriously. There’s a childish quality that’s a step below youthful and into the adolescent realm. It’s clear the designers had a vision and a set goal in mind, but the execution could have been taken to a more mature level. This would have helped maintain a level where the line could have been taken a bit more seriously.
